"I am interested in processes that map autistic perception and consciousness. This piece captures a particular type of attention which is commonly experienced by neurodivergent people, 'tunnel vision'.
The process of its creation involved repeatedly observing the blank sheet of paper, noticing the shapes in the surface fibres and then meticulously illuminating those shapes.
When I’m in this monotropic, hyperfixed state the outside world goes silent, I can breathe again, and the sensory chaos dissolves away.
I am interested to find out what you can see, and whether this piece can become a bridge between worlds of consciousness."
