Michael Nash

"I went on a residency to Venice at the Biennale with the British Council and Venture Arts. I collaborated with artist Claudio Beorchia on the island of Sant'Erasmo on his project monitoring environmental changes on the lagoon. I took photographs of local birds and created this digital drawing. On the residency, I have learnt that doing new things is exciting. There were so many challenges that I enjoyed and succeeded at. I have inspired other artists in supported studios to be ambitious. Working independently for a month in Venice and creating my own work has been brilliant. I hope to go back next year."
